MinionsHQ is free browser tools I built for my own debugging, then left open for anyone else. One person. No signup. No install.
Tools first, story second
HTTP client, DNS lookup, port & TLS checks, what’s-my-IP, file hashing, tables, and a small code editor. Network tools hit a real edge so results resemble the public internet. Hash, table, and editor work stay in your browser.
I needed something that didn’t nag me for an account mid-debug. This is that — shipped publicly in case it’s useful to you too.
Builder note: I’m Shounak — a doctor who codes on the side and knows almost nothing about “proper” engineering. If the stack looks weird or a real coder winces, sorry. Built for my own use; you’re seeing the public version.
Edge, local, and a few scripts
Network requests are routed through an edge setup on Bunny (plus the usual glue: workers/scripts that pass your lookup or HTTP job to a region and return the result). You can aim at nearest, US, EU, or Asia on DNS/HTTP so you’re not stuck seeing only one corner of the network.
Private/loopback targets are blocked on network tools. File hashing is chunked client-side so multi‑GB files don’t need an upload. Analytics is Plausible (privacy-friendly, no ad-tech carnival).
Revenue (such as it is)
Not a business line
No enterprise tier, no sales deck, no “book a demo.” Tools stay free for normal use.
Edge + hosting out of pocket
Bunny edge, domains, and boring infra bills are personal. If that ever changes, it’ll be said plainly here.
No dark patterns
No account walls. No selling your request bodies. If I ever add a tip jar or sponsor slot, it won’t unlock basic features.
Shounak — doctor, accidental maintainer
Day job is medicine. This site is a side project with a headcount of one. Replies may be slow if I’m with patients. Bugs and “this DNS looks cursed” reports are still welcome.
